Our "Florida Color!" lashup on FEC Train 202 continues across the St. Lucie River at Stuart. Being an avid boater, I can really appreciate this shot. But, it looks windy!
Florida East Coast, Train #290 rolls through Hialeah, Florida. In the consist are FEC701, UP 3684 and FEC 702. Union Pacific is rethinking the utilization of SD40-2's with the rising cost of fuel.
FEC Train 290 is at Hialeah (Miami) Florida. Engines FEC 701, UP 3684 and FEC 702 head up the train. At higher throttle settings, SD40-2s are somewhat of fuel hogs. UP is thinning it's ranks of over 540 of 'em!
