Florida Central Dinner TrainAlthough the Florida Central Dinner Train ended in Dec. 1997, The consist is used for special occasions. Here it's passing through Church St. Station (CSXT) on a "deadhead" from Ocala. The train accesses it's own rails just north of Church St.


Soo SD60M #6058Soo Line SD60M #6058, departs Winston (Lakeland), FL. for Mulberry, FL. as CSXT #K869. 0830 hrs, 27 June 1998.



Soo Line SD60M #6058After dropping cars at the fertilizer plant in Central, FL. Soo SD60M is accelerating out of Plant City, FL. on CSXT's A-Line. She's headed to Mulberry. The crews must hand-throw switches in Plant City, to get from the S-Line to the A-Line. 0745 hrs 27/June 1998.


Soo Line SD60M #6059This train, utilizing power, SOO SD60M #6059 and a sister, from train #CSXT K869, is entering Agrock Tard in Brewster, FL. with Loaded phosphate hoppers. 0920 hours 06/Nov/98.



Soo Line SD60M #6060The empty tank train, CSXT #K818, is between Hawthorne, FL. and Orange Heights, FL. 0910 hrs 09/Oct/98.



Soo Line SD60M #6061Using power from CSXT train #K869, this train with Soo SD60M #6061, is at Pierce, FL., delivering cars to various points on the BV. 0930hrs, 04/Seot/98.



Soo Line SD60M #6062One-half mile from the Green Bay Fertilizer plant, near Mulberry FL., this train with Soo SD60M #6062 in the lead, is delivering loaded sulphur tanks from Canada. 0900hrs 11/Sept/98.



D&RGW SD40T-2 #5404You can't go wrong with a Rio Grande Tunnel motor! This loaded tank train headed by D&RGW EMD SD40T-2 5404 originates on the UP but becomes a CSXT train in New Orleans. The power is rarely CSXT! It's between the switches at Vitis Jct headed to Mulberry, FL. 1345hrs 27/Oct/98.


D&RGW SD40T-2 #5404UP trains don't normally use the Plant City sub of CSXT's S-Line. But Never say Never! This train headed by SD40T-2 5404 passes over Blackwater Creek near Central FL enroute to Plant City. There they hand-throw switches onto the A-Line to reach Mulberry. 1430 27/Oct/98


D&RGW SD40T-2 #5404Pictured just north of Plant City FL while the power is noteworthy as is, 2 other engines were on it's work order. But they had been dropped in Mobile AL 1440hrs 27/Oct/98.


CP power in the Sunshine State!!This train (K810) is normally noctournal for most of it's run from Mulberry to Baldwin, FL But the sun does shine when crews are short! The train is passing through Wildwood. Orders listed the power as Soo6006/CSXT5846/CSXT5949 but all are CP units! 1125h 16/June98.


Union Pacific/Southern Pacific Power!Train Q603 is passing Wildwood FL with the power from Q606. The Southern Pacific GE's are a rare site here! 1030hours 11/June/98.



Conrail OCS w/E8A 4020Conrail OCS (Executive train) with E8Am(HEP) #4020 in the lead is at Auburndale, FL on 18 April 1998 at 0900 hrs. She has just entered CSXT's A-Line, off the Miami Sub. Lookin Nice!


Conrail Executice E8Am(HEP)Conrail's OCS train passes Church Street Station's own 0-6-0 "Duke". Duke is also a Philadelphia native. Love those Executive E8's!! Her rebuild included the removal of one of her 567 prime movers and the installation of a single 645 engine and Head-end power. Saturday, 18/April 98 1030hrs.




Conrail Executive E8's in Florida!The Conrail OCS is northbound over Lake Monroe (St. John's River), near Sanford FL, on CSXT's A-Line. This is a really nice photo, Kevin!



Florida Central Train W007 Florida Central and Qwest laid fibre optic cable from Zellwood - Naples, FL. Train W007 is pictured here in Ona, Florida. on August 14, 1998 at 1100 hrs.



Soo Line SD60 #6019 leads train K869Train K869-08 is utilizing CSXT's A-Line between Plant City and Lakeland, FL. After dropping half it's train in the Central Fertilizer Mine, south of Zephyrhills, FL. The CN unit is #5217, an SD40 on lease to CSXT.



CP Rail SD40-2 #5776Train K869-21 passes over Blackwater Creek, south of Zephyrhills, FL., after a stop at the Central Fertilizer Plant. The CP North America logo is eye-catching! The SD40-2 sounds great!



Conrail and CSXT join forcesThe St.John's River which is in front of the CSXT HQ on Water St serves as the background for the show of enthusiasm shared by the management at Conrail and CSXT, following STB approval. They brought their best - CR SD70MAC 4132, CSX CW40-8 #98. 9/June 98.
