Miami's Tri-Rail equipment at OrlandoThe City of Orlando hosted a two-day demonstration of Miami's Tri Rail Equipment to display the benefits od Public Rail Transport. It performed 2 days of round trips to Sanford. Here is is arriving at Orlando'a Amtrak Depot 16/May/96 1700hrs.



NS3241 at Mulberry FLFor most of September 1997, NS hi-hood 3241 worked the Bone Valley, out of Mulberry, FL. On 6 Sept 1997 it handled O803-06 at 0800 hrs at Achan Junction.

Amtrak Sunset Limited #1 at Winter ParkThe Sunset Limited #1 leaves Winter Park, FL. with The American Orient Express coaches at the end. 16 July 1996 at 1910hrs. Scenes like this are a thing of the past, now, as Genesis engines power these trains!



Amtrak Sunset Limited arrives in OrlandoAmtrak's Sunset Limited arrived in Orlando (From Miami) with the American Orient Express coaches "Zurich", "Chicago", "Grand Canyon" and "San Antonio on the rear. 16 July 1996 1845hrs.



Amtrak Dash 8 power at Winter ParkPool, The Sunset Limited, makes a stop at Winter Park, FL. to pick up passengers, headed west. The attractive "Pepsi Can" engines do not appear in Florida anymore! 19 April 1996 at 1700hours.



SD382420 and TORCO 7802Remote controlled hump set: Chessie (TORCO)7802 and EMD SD38 #2420 rest in Waycross, GA's Rice Yard, awaiting their destinies. This set can either be crew operated or Remotely operated, mainly in yard duties.



BQ23-7 Booster unit #3007B at Taft FLThis former GE BQ23-7, now converted to a "B" or Booster unit, was running on borrowed time when photographed on 4 January 1997 at Taft, FL. "I miss these engines alot!"



EMD GP38/GP40 at Crawford Jct.,FLCSXT provides loaded phospate trains to NS in Jacksonville. Power and all! Here one such train is operating as NS O86 (The old FL-GA express train#) at Crawford Jct., North of Jascksonville, where NS crosses CSXT's Baldwin Main. (CSXT train K849). 3/29/97 0900



CSXT GE U36B #5764 at Rice YardThis CSX GE U36B was long retired when photographed on 16 April 1997 in Waycross, GA's Rice Yard. This yard is well known for leased and retired power. She still looked Great!

EMD GP30 #2326 at Crawford, FLAt 36 years old, CSX, EMD GP30 #2326 looks practically new! And, still holding down a steady job. She's at Crawford, FL at 1150 hrs 04 July 1996. Love that GMC Truck Division design of 1962!
