Family Lines HackFamily Lines System (SCL-L&N) caboose SCL 0720 is coupled to Family Lines (SCL) EMD ex-GP7, now GP8 #4735 at Lumberton, North Carolina in August 1983. Love that EMD normally-aspirated 567 sound.



L&N 6432Louisville and Nashville Bay Window caboose #6432, SCL #01051 and a sister swap stories at Baldwin, FL in August of 1984. At this location, the Fruit Growers Express maintains a car shop. Workers said "Go ahead!"



FLS SouthboundAt a crossing on US Route #301 at Baldwin, FL, A CSXT train with all Family Lines System power with a GE in the lead, starts out of the yard, southbound. She's headed southbound with a general merchandise manifest. 8/84



FLS SouthboundAs the CSXT southbound freight passes me at the crossing at Baldwin, 2 EMD SD40-2s are evident. Soon, All Family Lines consists will be a thing of the past! It's August 1984. Sweeeeet!



CSX Coal TrainPassing through Washington DC in August of 1983, I spyed this CSXT (Chessie) Coal Train. The power consists of an EMD SD40-2 and EMD GP30. That's NOT MY CAR in the photo!!

CSX 6213CSXT GP40-2 #6213 idles away in Readville's #1 yard on a cold January 2, 2001. This is the engine wrecked at Readville, 15 months earlier. She's been repaired and re-activated.



CSX 6213Wearing a large white stain down her cab roof and fireman's side cab, 6213 idles in Yard #1, Readville 01/02/01. The stain may be from bad rinsing of the caustic compound used to clean these engines.



CSX 5836CSXT General Electric, B36-7 #5836 leads a four engine switching consist as she prepares train WARE1 for the trek to Framingham to pick up the outlawed WARE2's train. 01/02/01.



WARE1 PowerHere's a shot of WARE1's power in the early morning of 01/02/01 as she switches the yard in preparation to leave for Framingham. A 12,600hp switcher! The GE is rare here, lately!

CSXT LB731LB731 rythmically clips and clops through the yard having completeed her switching duties. Now it's coffee time. Then She'll back the empties into Yard 2 and leave westbound for Framingham.



CSXT 6240CSXT EMD GP40-2 #6240, wearing the remnants of one marker lamp on her nose, starboard-side, serves as the North Framingham Switcher on Sunday, July 22, 2001. She's on the long Wye.



CSXT 6240CSXT EMD GP40-2 #6240 with sister, 6231, have the yard duties at Framingham 07/22/01. They are on the long Wye from the North Yard, awaiting an MBTA Commuter before entering CP22.



CSXT 6240CSXT EMD GP40-2s 6240 and 6231 idle in The North Yard at Framingham MA. Shortly, they'll assume their duties as a switching pair. It's Sunday 07/22/01. Jerry Jordak's with me on this trip!

CSXT 6231CSXT EMD GP40-2 #6231, coupled to sister #6240 Idles in Framingham's North Yard. She's on the high idle momentarily to keep from becoming loaded up with carbon. She has a replacement lower half of her middle radiator fan guard.
