Readville Switcher at workHere the 2 unit Readville switcher is at work in yard #1. After this workout, She'll become WARE2, adding 1 or 2 more units to the power. 08/08/00



WARE20 at workHere at the intersection of Yards #1 and #2, train WARE20 switches out her train, before leaving down the Dorchester Branch for Boston and her daily deliveries. 08/08/00



WARE20CSXT Train WARE20 will enter Yard #2 and proceed east to "Dana" where the yard limits enter the Dorchester Branch. She's eastbound for Boston on 08/08/00.



CSXT GP40-2 6215CSXT EMD GP40-2 #6215 is the lead engine in Yard #1 at Readville for the todays switching duties. The 6238 trails. The turbo sound as they shove uphill rules! 08/08/00



CSXT GP40-2 6238CSXT EMD GP40-2 #6238 trails the 6215 as they perform the switching duties at Readville's #1 Yard 08/08/00. They shove lots of cars, uphill, testing their power!



CSXT engine 6238Here's another shot of CSXT GP40-2 #6238 as she helps the 6215 to assemble her train for the evenings work. She'll go to Rte 128 industrial, Stop and Shop Warehouse and Framingham.



WAWP1 at ReadvilleCSXT train WAWP1 delivers the cars that WARE2 would have brought in at 0400hrs, had she not outlawed at Framingham. GP40-2 #6217 and #6203 do the honors. 08/09/00.



WAWP1 at Readville Here's another shot of CSXT train WAWP1 working at Readville. She's backing WARE2's cars into Yard #1 at 1425hrs 08/09/00. Engines #6217 and 6203 labor on this 90 degree afternoon.



MBTA/CSXTThe Readville Shuttle, arriving at 1450hes 08/09/00 passes CSXT engines #6217 and 6203, waiting to enter the branch at Hill Tower. The CSX's will go onto the Mainline and enter the WEST end of Yard #1.



CSXT 6203Here's CSXT EMD GP40-2 #6203 with sister 6217. They're going over the hill at Hill Tower and will enter the Amtrak NEC. They'll enter Yard #1 at the west end of "Readville Transfer". A friendly wave from the engineer! 08/09/00.

GP40-2 #6201 appears in this mini-series.
She's recently had her cab rust repaired.
The blue paint covers her roster number.
This was WAFR35 at Walpole 08/11/00.

Second unit in the five unit consist of
WAFR35 on 08/11/00 is the EMD GP40-2 #6227.She's had her outer brake gear removed. Otherwise she's a standard ex-Chessie early GP40-2.



CSXT 6232 CSXT 6232 CSXT 6232

CSXT GP40-2 #6232 adorned in recent paint, is the third unit in WAFR35 08/11/00. She's also had her cab rust repaired. At Walpole on the Framingham Secondary.



CSXT 6218 CSXT 6234

CSXT GP40-2s #6218 and 6234 are the fourth and fifth units in the WAFR35 consist. 6218 needs paint badly but runs really well. 6234 typifies engines of this series



WAFR35 at WalpoleHere's the standard resting position for WAFR35 as she returns to Framingham from Middleboro. She has to wait for the commuter trains to clear from both Walpole and Framingham. The engineer is in the yard office. The conductor is with his train. 08/11/00 0550AM.
