CSXT, GE CW40-8 #7339, in somewhat new paint, transforming her from Conrail livery, is on Train WAFR35. She's south of Walpole station, on the Framingham Secondary.
CSXT, GE B36-7 #5837 is the trailing unit in the consist of train WAFR35 at Walpole MA 07/18/00. These engines were designed specifically for fast intermodal service.
CSXT, EMD GP40-2 #6213, built in 1979 sits "tied down" at Readville's #1 Yard. This is the same unit wrecked by vandals at Readville. The replacement paint is different. Note the totally blue battery box.

CSXT, GE C39-8 #7483 is the middle unit in the power consist of train WAFR35 on 07/18/00. It's 0535 in the AM and the light is tough. But, she still looks good!

CSXT GE CW40-8, covered with the dirt and grime resulting from her labors has apparently ticked a crew member off. rubbed into her dirty nose is the word "JUNK" and on the right cab frame, "Wash this Junk"! She's at Walpole 07/18/00 0530hrs.
CSXT WAFR35, "The Cape Job" arrives at the home board for Walpole MA. She's only 100 yards from the 1883 station erected by The Central New England Railroad (NH). She'll wait here for a couple of hours. Then, on to Framingham.
This is the interlocking signal on the Framingham Secondary track at Walpole. We're looking north, toward Medfield, Sherborne and Framingham. The track running east to west is the Franklin branch of the MBTA Commuter and CSXT.
Looking north, again Walpole Union Station, erected in 1883 and restored to great detail and her home signal are visible. The CSX Walpole Yard trailer is beyond the Franklin Branch, to the left.
Here's a view of the yard office for Walpole Yards. Two jobs, WAWP1 and WAWP2 originate from this location. It's a pleasant and traditional railroad scene, complete with WYEs, passenger, freight and plenty of action.
The Framingham Secondary Track winds northbound from Walpole. The track is the main link between The CSX Boston Line and Cape Cod, Attleboro and points south. Also, The Bay Colony operates here.
A great shot of the Walpole passenger station which borders the CSX Framingham Secondary Track and The Amtrak/MBTA/CSX Franklin Branch. There are 3 WYE tracks and a yard here also. NH New Bedford-bound trains ran here.
CSXT WAFR35 sits at the interlocking signal, south of The Franklin Branch on The Framingham Secondayr Track. She'll continue on to Nevins' Yard with the cars from Middleboro, Attleboro and Mansfield and Cape Cod.

performed his usual magic and "got the train in the yard". However, He
couldn't get the switch at the west end of yard one and had to leave
WARE2 in advance of the signal from Yard 2 to Yard 1. When the sun
came up, it was too much to resist. So, Here's WARE2.
