MBTA 1001Brand new, MBTA F40PH-2 #1001 raced along the pre-reconstructed Northeast Corridor, past Readville Yard in 1978. Most of these engines, although they have been rebuilt by Bombardier, have been placed in storage. The GP40mc's have taken their places.
