MBTA 1027


Front Flank view of MKco. F40PHM-2C #1027, laying over at Readville, MA.





MBTA 1123MBTA 1123 an ex-CN GP40, safety cab, freight engine, received a lenghtened frame and a total rebuild, including a Cummins Aux. Alt. for heat and lights, and found a new career, hauling passengers in Boston. She's climbing to the Franklin Branch from the Amtrak NE Corridor.



MBTA 1921 is an ex-Burlington Northern GP9, She's painted in the famous B&M/MEC, "Minute Man" scheme. Always a treat when she's working the Readville Maintenance Facility, as pictured here.

MBTA 902 is an ex-SEMTA GP9r. It is one of two (904) which are assigned to The Readville Maintenance Facility. Looks real sharp in those colors!

MBTA 1106
MBTA 1106 is an ex-Gulf, Mobile and Ohio, F3A, Rebuilt at the Paducah, KY shops. Looking resplendent in her fancy paint. She idles at The Amtrak Southampton Street Yards.



MBTA 1001MBTA 1001 is an EMD F40PH-2, built in 1978. Looks great in her purple/yellow/platinum mist/black paint.




AMTRAK 295

Leased amtrak F40PH #295 heads an MBTA train to Franklin, MA., on the Franklin Branch in August 1997.



Ex-SEMTA GP9r #904, the second of two EMD road switchers assigned to work at the Readville Maintenance facility, Idles there while the crew has a break.



Another good view of GP9r #904 reveals a peek at the Readville Car and Locomotive servicing facility. Here general repairs are made and wheels are turned and replaced. It's a busy spot!

Pullman Standard control car leads a boston-bound commuter through Readville, in the snow. This yellow-nosed scheme was the BEST!




MBTA 1102
IC, Paducha Shops rebuilt F3A - now FP10A, #1114, sits at The MBTA's storage yard at the old Boston Engine Terminal, Somerville, MA./Charlestown MA. Those "Covered Wagons" never lose their appeal!



MBTA 1052

MBTA, engine #1052 pushing to Boston, through Weston MA. at Route #I-95 (128), on the Conrail's Boston Main Line.



MBTA 1059

MBTA, engine #1059, passes over Route 128 (I-95) at Weston, MA. on The ex-Boston and Albany (NYC/PC) Boston Main Line.





MBTA F40PH-2C #1035 arrives on Track #4 by Amtrak's Hill Tower, at Readville Station.



With the engineer in the Control car at the opposite end, the Amtrak Conductor performs the brake test at the "hind end". Readville Station 04/98
