MBTA, AMF Techno-Transport GP40mc #1130 is at the new station at Framingham, MA. She'll continue west to Worcester. The new Framingham Passenger station will be second to no other MBTA stop on the Framingham Branch.
MBTA F40PH-2, out of long term storage to cover for F40PH-2Cs being rebuilt at Boise, is stopped at Walpole Station, loading passengers. She'll push east to South Station. This is the first eastbound of the day. Train 702.
MBTA F40PH-2 #1017, The last in an order of 18 of this model, is underway, eastbound at Walpole Station. After this trip, she'll become the Readville Shuttle and run every 1/2 hour during the rush and every hour off-peak.
Being pushed into Boston by MBTA GP40MC 1127, Train 704 is right on time, having waited for the first Amtrak Electric of the day which headed west a minute before her. She now has a "medium Clear" on track 2, east.
MBTA AMF GP40MC #1138 is heading westbound, about to enter the River Street Underpass at Hyde Park (Boston) MA. She's a morning "deadhead" to Attleboro, MA. She'll do ALL of her 90mph gearing between here and 128.
MBTA EMD/AMF Techno-Transport GP40MC #1131 has crossed Rte 135 (Great Plain Ave.) in Needham Square and pulling into the station. Needham has 3 stations on this single-track line. Hersey, Needham Square, Needham Heights.
MBTA EMD/AMF Techno-Transport, GP40mc #1131 trots westbound through Readville Station on her way to Attleboro, MA. About every 6 minutes, a train passes through Readville during the rush-hours. These engines are really pretty. 08/07/00
These former Canadian National freight engines, rebuilt on trade-in SD40 frames have Cummins auxiliary generators, flared radiator intakes (a' la SD45), air conditioning and dynamic brakes and downloadable computerized operation recorders (black boxes). 08/07/00
The rush hour continues as MBTA GP40mc and her consist rush through Readville Station. The T has 40 of these beautifully painted workhorses. The rebuilding of the EMD order of F40PH-2Cs would have caused a power crunch without them. 08/07/00.
An eastbound to Boston commuter train headed by MBTA, Kawasaki, bi-level coach has arrived on track 5 at Readville Station. These cars had their final set-up performed at Enprotech in Readville, just 1/4 of a mile from this spot. 08/07/00.

MBTA, EMD/AMF, GP40mc 1116 leads a Stoughton local through Readville Station on track 3, right after the above Providence Local. She'll stop at Route 128 and Canton Junction and Canton Center, before arriving at her destination. 08/07/00
MBTA GP40mc #1116, with the same consist as the Providence local above (08/07/00), creeps into Readville station on track 4 (Hill). She's the "Readville Shuttle" and travels the "Second Division." (Dorchester Branch) 08/09/00.
MBTA Kawasaki bi-level control car #1725 leads the Readville Shuttle westbound, back to South Station. She'll stop at only 4 stations before running through Southampton Street Yards and into South Station. 20 minutes to Boston! 08/09/00.

MBTA GP40mc #1131 glides through the station at Readville on track #1. She's an Attleboro local. South Attleboro is the last stop in Massachusetts. By agreement with the State of Rhode Island, several other trains continue on to Providence. 08/09/00

MBTA, EMD F40PH-2C #1054, having just left Hyde Park Station trots through Readville Station at Medium Speed, on her way to Route 128, Canton Junction, Canton and Stoughton, respectively. At the east end of Transfer, her signal is Medium clear. 08/09/00
MBTA, EMD F40PH-2C #1063 leading a Franklin Local, climbs the grade on track five for the Franklin Branch. The signal at Sprague Street, just ahead (at the erector set bridge) is the end of cab signal territory. After passing the signal, the engineer will get the alarm 08/09/00
MBTA, Messerschmidt control car #1529 brings up the rear of the Stoughton local mentioned two entries ago. These cars are by far the quietest, smoothest and best looking (wagon top) of the single level coaches and control cars. 08/09/00
